= Welcome to the MOLGENIS open source project =
MOLGENIS is a lightweight, model-driven software framework for bioinformatics applications:
 1. Model what you need in a simple XML file,  [http://molgenis.sourceforge.net/distro/molgenis_db.xml for example]
 1. Run generator
 1. Use your database,  [http://gbicserver1.biol.rug.nl:8080/demo for example]
You can also use the extraction tool to generate the model from existing database that you want to 'molgenisze' 

Our mission is to help bioinformatics developers to produce great and userfriendly software that researchers want to have. You can today use MOLGENIS to generate a database back-end, rich user interface and integrate with R, Java and web service APIs.
